Posture, balance and functional movement with the CoreAlign® Method
What is the CoreAlign® Method?
Classes in this unique method are now available in Brisbane. Exercises performed on the CoreAlign® by Balanced Body® are unique in that they emphasise an upright position and are designed to improve posture, balance and functional movement. CoreAlign was developed to enable natural flowing full body exercise with independent limb training. The exercises aim to:
// Improve full body movement ability while focusing mainly on standing positions and movements.
// Challenge natural whole-body movements while creating functional blend of posture, strength, flexibility, control and body orientation in space.
// Reorganise and improve the relevant movement components to reach the deepest layers of movement foundations and challenge the boundaries of harmonious movement.
Benefits of CoreAlign training and exercises
// Those with significant movement impairments who suffer from discomfort or pain.
// Healthy people who want to improve their physical ability or reduce their risks of injury.
// Athletes who want to enhance their conditioning and performance.

Clinical origins of CoreAlign
The CoreAlign method was originally developed by physical therapist Jonathan Hoffman in a clinical setting. Its early focus was as an innovative rehabilitation tool for managing musculoskeletal disorders. CoreAlign was used to stimulate core stability muscles to fire in perfect timing while performing challenging exercises, very deep stretches and core-controlled aerobic training. In response to interest from his many clients, Jonathan introduced studio training on the elliptical machine for healthy people. CoreAlign studio sessions have been conducted around the world since 2004. CoreAlign® by Balanced Body®
